Joel Paiva

Joel Paiva is a seasoned procurement leader, entrepreneur, and mentor from Venezuela, with more than 20 years of expertise in procurement transformation, category management, supply chain management, strategic procurement, and supplier diversity. Joel has a successful track record in commercial roles covering a range of categories and commodities in complex international and multicultural organisations, leading high performing teams, negotiating high-stakes global contracts, and managing large-scale projects across the tobacco and financial industry operating in challenging and highly competitive environments and markets. Throughout his career Joel has gained invaluable international experience having lived and worked in four different countries, including Venezuela, Brazil, the UK, and the USA and has seen first-hand how working with diverse suppliers in an inclusive environment brings not only greater productivity and engagement, but also strengthen customer relationships and incentivizes innovation. Joel Paiva held key procurement leadership roles with British American Tobacco and RJR Reynolds, for more than 20 years.

Joel Paiva holds a degree in Economy from the Central University of Venezuela and is an entrepreneur, father, avid golfer, and sports fan.
